Mission Statement of the British Virgin Islands Heritage Conservation Group
We are an association led by BVI citizens, residents and supported by many visitor's who are passionate about the preservation of the BVI’s natural resources, history and culture , which is threatened by today’s island-wide construction. When this is is not possible, the BVIHCG then supports smaller, eco-friendly sustainable development with the least environmental and socio-economic impact to the community and surrounding sites.
To this end, Island Heritage is seeking the inclusion of Smugglers Cove into the National Park System first, before considering the development of an appropriate small scale, high quality resort, while still maintaining access to the beach at Smugglers Cove for all.
