pelican island, bvi
September 9/2009
This project was denied, and as per the person who was making the request for lease, we have taken down the documents on it.
Back in 2003 there was an application made for a restaurant/bar along with a mooring field on Pelican Island. Apparently someone feels that we do not have enough bars on outlying islands. It was initially turned down, and then the proposal was revamped to include a pseudo museum. We don't know whether we do need another bar and mooring field in the BVI, especially in that area on an island that is totally covered with rats from a long ago shipwreck, but there is to be a decision made on it soon, and we thought people would like to know, so it can be commented on either way. The project application looks like it was copied practically verbatim from the original Billy Bones on Norman Island project.
